How the month of July has flown here at Woolly Acres! The raspberry patch has been especially abundant, and is open for picking seven days a week.

One of our neighbors came for an hour and ended up spending five, leaving with seventeen pints of sweet, organic raspberries. She froze half, using small freezer bags. With the rest, she made “just picked” raspberry jam to give to family and friends over the holidays.

Not all of us are this ambitious, but if you crave July in January, now is the time to pick. You will be glad you did.

How to Freeze:

After gently rinsing, and drying, spread the berries out on a cookie sheet, and place it in the freezer. When frozen, remove the berries and place them in a freezer bag.

Lay the bag flat and remove the excess air. Seal, stack in the freezer, and forget about until winter!
